Taken at Keenland on Saturday morning. The horses are something to see, breathtaking. Watching practice its impressive how much these animals seem to want to run. They're so much larger in person too, I don't think there was a single animal out that morning who's back I could have seen over top of.
Besides the enjoyment at watching them, the technical aspects of photographing them are a trick. For certain they're harder to capture than my usual subjects. Panning was something I wanted to try with them and a few of the shots came out fairly well. You would have to spend a lot of time at it to get one perfect since there is a rythm to their movement and at certain points it portrays more power than at others.
